In 2004, our founder Mike Kurtz made the first batch of his signature hot honey to share with friends and family. It was an immediate hit: a sweet-heat combo like no other. Mike started drizzling hot honey on pizzas at the pizzeria where he worked, and it wasn’t long before customers asked him for bottles to take home. In 2010, Mike took the entrepreneurial leap and set up shop in New York City, where he worked tirelessly to infuse, pack, and label every bottle of hot honey by hand.
Today, Mike’s Hot Honey is a staple in kitchens and restaurants throughout America, but we’re still putting the same care into every bottle. Thank you for inviting us to your table!
